Team DJB Taekwondo looks back
Team DJB Taekwondo started to operate as a community sports group with a committee since 2017 with a new partnership with a local youth organisation in tackling inactivity and re-engaging youths from disadvantaged background.
As the group is very new to operating outside of UEL, facing new challenges and meeting new people from other organisations of different sizes and sharing experiences. There were a few things that were explored along the way: understanding the importance of impact reporting, keeping up to date with regulations and legislation in governance, safeguarding, privacy and finance management as a not-for-profit organisation. Let's just say that we barely scratched the surface and that there's much more to learn.
