Term 2 review
So Term 2 has the biggest student competition of the year- BSTF Nationals also known as Spring Championships. There was an increase in participation this year so the coaches & committee worked hard in booking extra sessions for the competitors preparation as well as the non-competitive members' regular sessions.
Term 2 also saw new membership which meant the overall membership for 2018/19 came to 55, a 10% increase to last year's 50 paid memberships.
The team piloted 2 sessions at Stratford as there was a demand to get students at the Stratford campus, more active. The feedback on the room was that it was #dojanggoals & hopefully sessions will roll out for the next academic year. Fun fact: UEL Taekwondo originally was run at the Atherton Leisure Centre which is 10 minutes away from the Stratford campus. So the coaches felt nostalgic coming back to where it all started (well, close to it).
Please find the following infographics of Term 2. There were a lot of things to highlight but the competitive achievement was the only thing that really stuck out & became the focus of this term's review.
After this, Summer Term will starting from Tuesday 23rd April 2019 to 28th June 2019 for more grading work & gradings. The Annual DJB Hanmadang with Surrey Taekwondo on the Sunday 5th May 2019 (invite only).
